The recently renovated Jefferson Park golf course is another historic test owned by the city. Jefferson Park is unique in that it is of pre-World War I vintage. It opened in 1915. Although short by today’s standards at 6200 yards, Jefferson Park nonetheless offers a great layout at modest cost.

The Allenmore Public Golf Course in Tacoma is an 18-hole “Allenmore” style course, with a rating of 68.3 and a slope rating of 118. It boasts 6,026 yards of golf from the longest tee, making for a par of 71. The course itself includes tight fairways lined with trees, which can make a game more challenging for players.

University Place is home to the Chambers Bay Golf Course. An 18-hole “Chambers” course, they have 7,500 yards from the longest tees for a par of 72. They also have some of the most beautiful scenery of any course in the state, with views of both Puget Sound and the Cascade Mountains.

West Seattle Golf Club The golf course is certainly no walk in the park as you will see just how your game is doing with this challenge. This hidden gem has been hidden in West Seattle for quite some time now and people are finally starting to hear about it. The municipal course will often have various tournaments on a weekly basis and this is something that you should always keep in mind as a tourist or a local. Remember that the golf course is almost always in tournament condition and so you will see just how well you can play on good conditions.
